[tumblr] and tunes | "then I heard they slept together..."

I just posted my first potentially polarising text post to Tumblr. I didn't tag it with anything remotely findable, and I'm followed by about three people over there, so the panic attack I'm on the verge of is probably unnecessary but, like, YIKES? I like that I've come straight here to tell you all though. My little safe haven of fandom loveliness ( Read more... )

meme: one hundred things, thoughts: incoherent, meme: one hundred music things, tumblr: does not deserve a tag, waltzmatildah: may actually be mad, thoughts: i have them, what: the fuck?, music: like a version, music: birds of tokyo, psa: listen to this now, triple j: deserves a tag, waltzmatildah: is going to hell

Random Q, if I may! Does the Australian honours year have a practicum? I had no idea EXACTLY how useless North American degrees are so I'm ready to hear anything, frankly.

So, it's been a month. And a bit. Turns out I don't really do LJ anymore, but I want to and so I am back. Checking messages and actually, you know, replying to things...

Firstly, I told someone the frog porn story the other day. Never not hilarious.

Secondly, do you mean like a placement? Then... I don't know. It might depend on your degree? The Psychology honours year definitely doesn't. Placements don't start until first year Masters. Psych honours was coursework and a research project/thesis.

ETA: I have also had friends who've done honours in zoology and pharmacy. Both of which were coursework and thesis... No formal placement component.

I barely do either, but the emails come to my regular email so I'm relatively on top of comments, if not entries!

Oh man, that frog porn thing. Sometimes I forget. BAD DECISION. That was the kindle, right? You may have to tell me my own frog porn story! Not like that... haha.

That is what I meant! The APS assessment thing asks about that as part of their criteria so I was like "oh fuck, really?" because the US system with the useless undergrad degrees (rather than undergrad dentistry/medicine/law etc) combined with the provisional registration coming off an honours year made me think maybe it was some next-level shit! Good to know it's regular-level shit. :P
