*Huggles you* Lovely post is lovely.

And it has been lovely knowing you too. I really hope it isn't goodbye.

I've been rewatching Grey's again. That show it really sticks in your bones. Rewatched the shooting ep yesterday, all the feels.

I went back the TVD to watch the final season and I enjoyed it, it was good. The plot of the final episode made absolutely no sense but I still feel like it was exactly what it had to be emotionally.

It's a happy kind of sadness to see everything having come and go, but change is an unalterable constant.

I hope it's not goodbye, too, but I haven't posted since January (though I've still been reading and dropping the odd comment here and there) so I really just don't know.

That show it really sticks in your bones. OMG, doesn't it??! I'm just past the half way mark of season 6, so the shooting episode is in my future. I've not really watched past the end of season 6 before, at least, not consistently and in order, and I'm of half a mind to keep going, but it'll mean buying the DVDs because it's not available on any streaming service here, and I don't know how committed I am given how much I know my investment drops off post the ridiculous (yes, I still stand by that claim!) time jump between seasons 6 and 7.

I contemplated the TVD finale, but again, it's not available on any streaming service here and it's all just a bit too much like hard work to source these things, when there's so much other content right at my fingertips!

That's fair enough. I think LJ really is dying now, especially after the recent changes a lot of people are just moving over to dreamwidth. I think we LJ users as people have changed a lot too though, we're older now. And I think newer people joining are on different platforms.

I know what you mean, it's so annoying when content isn't easily accessible. Season 7 is actually one of my favourites, but that's probably the Cristina fan in me speaking and season 8 does have some really good moments. For me it's when they get to season 9 that the show really seems to go off the rails. The newer characters aren't as well developed and seem to just exist to take up space.

I've watched the first two episodes of season eight, I think. Are they the ones where everyone is fighting (LOL, pretty much all the 'ones' are where there is fighting!) and Cristina stabs Alex with a needle of adrenalin, mid-surgery, and stops his heart? I've watched those episodes.

this is starting to feel so much more like goodbye than I intended...

:c Was it intended to feel like goodbye at all?!

Happy anniversary! I'm probably one of the ones who's barely around anymore, which is because a much more active flist than I'm used to after the dramatic weaning of the last few years + no time to keep up with everyone = a lot of shame, pretty much. :( :(

A little bit, mostly because I'm aware that, prior to today, my last entry was in January. Oops. My paid journal time lapsed and so when it reverted back to unpaid, 99% of my icons disappeared. I have been left with basically ALL Grey's Anatomy icons, and a couple of Katherine Pierce ones. LJ still knows me well!

You're barely here, but that's better than never here, which is the case with so many of that Old Crew (remember slybrunette, nursebadass, ovariesofsteel, foibles_fables, abvj and the list goes on and on).

How are things going? How long until you're a qualified speechie?! The placement offer still stands if you need one and think you can brave being Down This Way!

Heyyyyy

The goodbye tone does makes me sad, but it does feel a bit tumble weedy around here, huh? How are things going?

Sure bloody does feel that way. I am part of the problem, I know...!

Fun fact: ice_whisper got me into LJ and reading/writing fanfic, but YOU got me into the freaking vampires! The TVD thing? 100% your fault :)

Oh me too. I make the occasional post to talk out my problems, mostly to myself, lol. Somehow writing on an online platform seems less wanky than writing in an actual journal (whether that's true or not...)

I'm not sorry I did, haha! We had some great times. Pretty sure the only reason I survived half my teenaged years was Grey's/TVD fandom and related activities. Even with the declining quality of TVD, I'm still kinda sad it's over.

10 years wow. How did that happen?

Happy anniversary!

Feel free to drop me a message and find me on some other platform as I am rarely here either.

Can you believe I'm still watching? I really did think I was done at the beginning of this season but I've maintained.
