This was supposed to be a year end round up, but my computer is possesed.

I have tried and failed to write a year-end post about 5 times now. You see, I have this ancient 5 year old Dell laptop. The power cord that charges the battery split at the end and no longer powers/charges the computer. YIKES!!!!

If the battery is not charging but the laptop does stay on, it could the the battery itself. Dell is famous for its batteries dying a few years after purchase. And if you've tried that already, it could the part where the laptop and power adapter connect. Just a thought! I hope it all worked out!

Nah, I know its the cord on this one because the battery was charging fine before my old cord finally split at the end. The one I have now is one of those universal ones that you just have to match up the right tip with. After opening it I read on the package that it doesn't charge most batteries which is why it's so cheap to buy vs getting one from Dell. Oh well, I just need it to last through 2 more paychecks. heh!
