Legend of the Seeker and other Shows

I realize my LJ has been kinda heavy handed with the BSG & Kara/Lee squeeing and flailing. No, that's not gonna stop anytime soon, so you've got fair warning, but I actually DO like and watch other shows. I promise.

I still don't have cable so I'm not really watching anything currently on the air (with the exception of catching online episodes of ( Read more... )

*glares back* I haven't even started Season 1 of Fringe yet! Sheesh! I didn't want to spoil myself. Wasn't sure what was under the cut. ;)

And... no I haven't started the books yet, but I have them and will be starting very very soon. Maybe even this weekend if I take a break from my Fringe marathon. :))

I love Big Bang Theory & Dexter! I haven't caught up entirely with Dexter (I'm still in season 4). I can't watch too many of them at one time. It's too much. But I love it so much. It totally does mess with your mind in that you're cheering on a serial killer.

I want to start Fringe too.

Yeah Dexter can be quit dark, I can see how ya might need to take it in small doses.

And Big Bang Theory (i.e. The Sheldon Show) owns me! I seriously love it! I just figured out last month that the girl who plays Sheldon's "girl" friend is the gal who used to play Blossom in the 80's!

You should start Fringe with me!! I keep hearing from everyone that it's the best show on non-cable channels right now.

Oh my gosh, while watching Dexter I also realized that I love Michael C. Hall. Like LOVE him. I want to see him in more things. I know he's in that movie called Gamer but I haven't seen it yet.

What's not to love about TBBT? So good! Yeah, Blossom! I wasn't sure how long they were going to keep her around, but I like her addition. The one where she was sexually attracted to Penny's ex was one of the funniest things ever.

I should. Is Season one on Netflix?

Have you watched "6 feet under"? He's good in that, but totally different than in Dexter which is part of the reason I love it so much. When I first started watchingt I remember thinking, "There's no way this guy from 6 feet under can play a serial killer." So glad I was wrong! heh!

Yeah the one w/ Penny's ex was hilarious! lol

Unfortunately, no Fringe isn't on Netflix, and they've only got the most recent eps on Hulu... hopefully soon it'll be on Netflix though.

Legend of the Seeker was actually very good in season 1 but got really boring in s2. They didn't seem to know what they wanted to do with the characters or the storyline sometimes. Of course, as soon as it was cancelled, the story line picked up again and there was so much potential as to what else could have happened. I did enjoy the show for what little time it was on though I'm sure the books are so much better.

Yeah I agree it did slump off a bit in mid season 2. I don't wonder if that's when the writers got the news the show wouldn't be continued and they had to possibly re-write things.

I'm not too bummed though, apparently the books are much much better so I'm starting those probably this weekend sometime.

I don't think they knew they were going to be cancelled until very close to the end. It seemed in the later episodes things were moving too quickly. I think with a notice of one more season they could've finished telling the story a lot better.

I've heard the books were much better but haven't read them.
