I like it. It's definitely a great Kara song. Flipping between all the beautiful women of BSG and then focusing on Kara during the punchline drove the point home perfectly.

Dang it! I watched your video then I got distracted (b/c I was at work-oops) and forgot to post a comment. Then I tried to post and LJ ate my comment. Grr. So let's try again.

This was amazing. I really liked the soft, contemplative parts and the hard chorus. Cool song choice.

I liked the part with Kara looking in her locker mirror and then Dee looking in her locker mirror. I never realized how similar that was until now. I also loved all the parts with Kara kicking ass. Yes, yes, that was best. ;)

ohhhh naughty girl watching vids at work! heee! Like, I'm one to talk, I brought the vid to work on a flash drive this morning just so I could upload it since I am extremely impatient and couldn't wait until tonight.

Thanks so much for the awesome comments. I was surprised too how many scenes I've come across that have a parallel feel to them, but in a way it makes it nice to work wit. Like, how Kara/Lee hugs always look the same or their handshakes.... :)

One of the things I always loved about Kara's character was exactly the hard-edged, skinned-knuckled BRAVADO that you've so aptly captured. Your timing with the music is excellent and there is just enough humour in this that I laughed aloud a couple times.

I can't wait to to do a story vid to one of your fics some day - I dunno when or which fic, but since your fics always make me want to vid I figure I must give the muse what she wants. ;)

Thank you very much!! I'm very glad it didn't make you cry. hehe!! I was actually nervous that the song may have been used before, but when I did a google search I couldn't find anything so I felt fairly safe using the song.

And yes K/L is next!!! Yay!! I'll probably end up working on a simple shipper vid for them before I finish my a/u story vid, so YAY even more! :) Also, just thought I'd check on the chance you missed it, but did you happen to catch my first K/L vid to "The Scientist"? I think I remember you tweeted something to me about it, but can't remember now. hehe

This is wonderful!! Great song choice for Kara, and you did an amazing job matching the edits to the song. My favorite parts are the parallels between Kara and Six -- I think you captured some visually surprising similarities between the two and worked them into this vid PERFECTLY. The moment when they both get shot? Awesome.

I confess I don't totally get the comparison to the cylons at the end.... the Six/Dee comparisons were pretty straightforward, Kara's not a bombshell, she's not a sweetheart, but I don't totally get the cylon analogy? Would love to hear your thoughts behind that part!!!

In any case, this vid is FANTASTIC and I am off to watch it again right now! :-D

Oh and PS! I love the Kendra Shaw beginning, too! But dude, my favorite moment is totally the first "I'm beautiful like me" when Kara takes down Six. Can't help cheering!!!!

I'll admit the beginning verse (Kara vs Kendra) and the last verse (Kara vs Cylons) were the two that gave me the most trouble. The Kara vs Kendra was the very last thing I threw in. I had NO idea what to do with that opening short verse until finally it dawned on me to use Kenrda.

As for the Kara vs Cylons is really the crackiest part of the vid, meant to be a little bit funny at first. Plus the lines of "I'd have so many friends" fits so perfectly for the Cylons. Really it's more about how Kara is still very Human despite her tough nature. She might kill but she's still human and would never resort to things like locking someone in a house as a form of mental torture.

Well, the interspersing of Kara's superhero walk with the centurions was quite funny! And the shot of "Id have so many friends" with all their hands is my favorite part of that sequence. Your explanation of the cylons' inhumanity - and especially Leoben's - clears the rest up for me. Thanks!
