Apparently, writing a work of fiction dealing with, say, zombies overrunning a high school (not even specifically your high school) can net you felony charges for making terrorist threats in the state of Kentucky .

This story is actually from 2005, and I seem to recall they eventually discovered there was nothing they could charge the kid with.

Anyway, when I think of some of the stuff I wrote in High School (including a play specifically about taking the whole audience hostage at gunpoint) I can say I was very lucky to have been in the pre-Columbine, pre-9/11 era.

Although I did get suspended for having a hammer and sickle in my car senior year...
