Livejournal tells me I haven't updated in 15 weeks. To anyone who was worried, I am both alive and safe. I haven't updated because I no longer trust LiveJournal, or it's parent company Six Apart for much of anything. I began feeling uneasy even before the buyout with the announcement of plus accounts -- I'm not comfortable with someone profiting

Pretty much everyone these days seems to be going to a personally hosted site with some free blog software, like Wordpress or whatever. I think RSS feeds have really helped people in that regard.

Maybe someday, I'll do that too.
