All I can do, if I feel this way, is trust that somewhere in the universe, there's a you that feels the same. - Iain Thomas Something I just want to share

"I learned over time that.. for me, to be emotionally strong is to be able to accept and feel pain. "
I agree with this so much! I think we need to embrace the pain, and realize how we can grow from it.
After coming back to LJ, I had gone back and read all my old entries. I found myself wondering why I didn't write about so many things that I was going through. I shied away from it, I suppose because I feared judgement by my friends (who were all IRL friends on my journal at the time). Making private posts would have helped me, no doubt.
I've never journaled as much as you probably have, but definitely see the benefits. LJ also has a big nostalgia value for me. Too bad it isn't as popular as it used to be. I guess it's up to us stalwarts, now. :)
Love your avatar, btw. Wonder Woman rocks my socks.
That was intersting to read. I used to be very secretive, but then I felt that I'm not any more. Maybe it's just a period of time. Sometimes a person just needs to be public so to say, but then he returns to what he is used to. And yes, writing helps to be a strong person somehow. It helps to understand yourself.

I used to hope that my IRL friends used Livejournal more-- but it was a blessing in disguise in the end.

So youve only used LJ since January then? That's cool though and yes, definitely stay here!

And I agree with you! The most reflective people I met are ones who can talk about their day to day-- like yourself!
