Hearts must change. If our democracy is to work in this increasingly diverse nation, each one of us must try to heed the advice of one of the great characters in American fiction, Atticus Finch, who said "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view...until you climb into his skin and walk around in it."

We are all different. Different cultures, different belief systems, different preferences, etc.. but I just want you to all know that I respect each and everyone of you. I respect even the content of your entries. Even in our differences, I've found some common ground.
Thank you for letting me read your entries and for reading mine.
Anyway.... I love Obama's speech. Especially the topics of equality and diversity. Sigh. Peace to you all and I hope that we all survive the next four years. Stay strong. Be vigilant.
