so i was given a pretty simple task by philippa. it was to try a mars bar if i hadn't had one lately, because they're as good as ever she said. well, as best as i could remember i hadn't eaten once since the 80s so i thought i'd look for one next time i could. so i did... no mars bars! bought some starburst instead since i was already looking ( Read more... )

I love the 75+% dark cocoa bars~ Now I want one.

*lol* on the Whatchamcallit!! The candybar was flat & smashed & we shared the thing at the airport. It was a hilarious moment & I still laugh thinking about it! (Mmmmmmmm!)

I should have bought you a coffee crisp & a box of smarties. They're Canadian..

also, i second the nomination for wickedly dark chocolate. 75% cocoa & darker destroys the wussified milk chocolate any day.

milk chocolate is pretty wussy isn't it! i can't even eat regular m&ms now after having the dark kind!

fascinating! but i fail to see the appeal of nougat-based candy. i mean, does anyone actually like it? wouldn't you rather just have the chocolate, caramel, or nuts?

yes! nougat is not bad in moderation, but does it beat a solid dark chocolate bar? no f-ing way.

but sometimes a little variety is nice...

the banana creme filled twinkies are called banana twins. they're yummy & too much candy makes you fat.

oh but they are made my little debbie and don't look like twinkies.
ALSO! i just looked up something and it says that there WERE banana TWINKIES sold earlier this year as a marketing campaign tied into KING KONG. dammit, PASSED ME BY! no one told me.
