(1) So I FINALLY watched The Social Network, and -- so that was essentially a film about the worst break-up ever, hey? I'm already raiding Delicious, and I might have some Thoughts on it later, but in the meantime I would love fic recs. In particular, if you've written something, point me towards it! :)

(2) The best thing to come out of Yuletide ( Read more... )

the divorce movie, war of the worlds, pass it along

YES. I saw it on New Year's Day and I've done a rip through everything at the AO3 (Yuletide & pre-Yuletide fics there are really solid, fwiw) and at mark_eduardo although their layout (3 entries per page) is INSANELY annoying. Pretty high standard for fic I've found, no specific recs sry.

OH GOD.
Tui, I just realised, I promised you a beta job in a Jaden fic over a month ago, and then I got overwhelmed and I completely forgot about it. Twice. I am so, so sorry for being an utterly terrible person. ♥ Have you posted that fic yet? Do you still want it looked over? Because I would still love to do that. Apparently me sucking just gets in the way. D:

Well, I forgot a yuletide beta I promised someone, so YOU ARE OFF THE HOOK, don't worry about it at all! I would still love you to beta it though :) If you've got time! No pressure! There's no deadline.

I AGREE. Though apparently they were played by only one guy?!

You are so good to me, bb. *weeps at your feet*

I wrote TSN fic for Yuletide as well, coincidentally enough, because the film is quite slashy and I have a thing for broken friendships and betrayal. *___*

TSN authors I like: fledmusic, blackeyedgirl, addandsubstract.

GOING TO READ THAT RIGHT NOW! \o/

Apparently I have a thing for broken friendships and betrayal, too, because OH GOD, I wrote The Social Network fic yesterday night instead of sleeping. I have no idea how it happened, but I woke up this morning and it was sitting there on my laptop screen.

The fact that you wrote Social Network fic makes me so happy, you can't even imagine! Another example of your great taste. :D

eee, that Janelle Monáe fic is wonderful! Perfect style. I do love Yuletide, though I've never done it before ( ... )

I love Yuletide too! I want to do it, but every year, I'm too busy. Same thing with NaNoWriMo. I wish that all major writing/fic events happened in the summer, alas.

I have heard that they do plan to tell more stories in the alt!verse, and I really hope they do, because, yeah. It is awesome. I find it just as compelling as this side, and I want to see how Fauxlivia (since Walter made that canon now :D) is adjusting to her life.

YES the end of season two ended so strong. I'm pretty sure I watched the last four or five in one go, because I couldn't stop -- thankfully I was on break, I think? BROWN BETTY. ♥ I have rewatched that at least three times now.

I'm not sure, really. It's hard to put a finger on. Maybe because he's traipsing around a place that looks like BC in that episode. But especially in that moment at the end, where Peter collapses back on his bed and puts on earphones to listen to the mixtape, it just seems very ... Canadian-indie-film, to me.

I don't understand when people don't love it to death. It seems like a love ( ... )

THE DIVORCE MOVIE. D: D: so many alternate names for this movie. of which my favourite is the "the boyfriends network," lol ( ... )

I very much like "the boyfriends network." :D

Yeah, I see your point re. Fauxlivia -- it carries a negative connotation right off the bat. I think I like Altlivia best, maybe I should just keep calling her that. OOH GUESS WHAT. THERE IS AN ALT!VERSE EPISODE NET WEEK, I AM FAR TOO EXCITED! Not sure how I felt about last week's reveal about how the machine worked, though. Kind of ... ugh.

Haha, well, it's not a Big Part of My Identity ... do you just assume that I'm American? ;)

I won't bother unleashing a rant about people who are genre snobs, but let's just say I am not a fan of them. I'm worried that Fringe has been moved to the Friday "death slot," but I guess we'll see? Has anything survived in that slot before?
