So, I finally did it. I moved to California.

I flew into Oakland Saturday night. Leaving my mom and Nikki at the airport was the hardest thing I've ever done. We're still going to get Nikki out here eventually - for now it's talking on Skype webcam.

Yay! Beyond the little appetite and obviously missing those at home it sounds like you're having a fantastic time! Please continue with your updates, this one was great to read! I'm extremely jealous you'll have a kitty to accompany you, though. We're hoping to get 2 next year, but with the potential moving the year after, I'm not sure that's really fair to the cats. :(

I also think it's great that you're keeping yourself so busy. Between the band and shows and friends already in the city I think you'll settle in really quickly, much moreso than if you were a complete stranger to the area. And hopefully, all the job hunting during the day will pay off very soon! Good luck!

Thanks, I'll definitely update regularly, because I already have more adventures planned for the weekend and onward.

The program starts in October, so it gives me plenty time to get settled and everything.
