To me an acquaintence is just someone you meet but know not very much about. But it'd be cool to be associated with that person. I think with an acquaintence you don't really get to know them on a personal type level. Whereas a friend, you'll get to know them one on one, and they equally know you and stuff about you beyond the initial context.

Eg: Workmates start out as acquaintances, then if you move that out of the workplace and get to know each other better you can start to call them friends (out of initial context).

At the end of the day, it's up to the individuals involved.

Ah cool, yes, very valid points. I however still disagree. I feel I know my acquaintances on a personal level, but not enough to make an effort to go out of my way to talk to them. But yes, you also right-ish.

Gah, whatever. Acquaintances are acquaintances and friends are friends!

Like I said, end of the day it's up to the individuals involved. Everyone defines things differently.

Ok, i'm going to leave it there. Not thinking right anymore, need sleep haha.
