Dear Gideon,

I think this may possibly be one of the hardest letters I'll ever write, for numerous reasons. So, you will have to forgive my, at times, lack of... Good wording, shall we say?

~Gid is sitting on his bed and is completely dumbstruck reading the letter but not actually absorbing the writing on the page as the word 'Quitter, quitter, quitter' keeps repeating in his head out of bitterness and hurt. He closes his eyes, breathes heavily and feels an extremely unfamiliar lump form in his throat that has only been there three times before and, as his annoying habit, he bites his lip til it bleeds instead of allowing any tears to leak out. Blood's more meaningful than tears anyway--shows pain was actually there instead of it just being trivial and childish.~

*picks up his quill and pauses, not sure what he wants to write. He knows Fabian would write something sensible and understand like 'Amelia, I understand why you can't keep it--it's a gift and I got it for you, so I hope you know that I'm not going to give it away to anyone else and if you don't want to be my friend even I won't pretend like I'll hate that forever, but I'll try and accept it. But that's not Gid. So instead he writes what he feels*

*reads the reply four times each time counting a different time when he almost quit and all of it concerning Amelia*

*tears up her reply into two and tosses it then Apparates to her place and knocks on the door*
