While I agree that things are more efficiently done with the ability to use powers, I must disagree with your opinion of humans.

I have seen humans accomplish many great things with only the limited resources around them. Even I have had an occasion where I had lost my powers and needed to adapt to the tools I had.

The fact that humans are able to thrive so efficiently without the need of powers shows that they are better adaptable and more capable of handling themselves.

They are inferior because they are without powers? That is no way to measure a person's abilities. With or without powers people suffer from the same weaknesses and can be destroyed by the same things.

Who is to say wizards are superior when I know first hand there are beings that can easily wipe them all out. It's not about if one has powers or not, it's how they use a situation to their advantage.
