I don’t know if this helps, but almost everyone I know expected to end up with the person they dated at 18-19 and almost none did. More importantly, most of those people would say that, in retrospect, they’d be miserable if they had married that person (I’m like the poster child for this by the way)

Again, probably doesn’t help right now but it might some day soon.

Anyway, to me, this seems like an opportunity. You’re pretty, smart and talented and you haven’t dated that much (in the grand scheme of things). There are a lot of different types of people out there and a lot of fun to be had that you’ve probably never even thought about because you weren’t around those people. Whether it seems like it or not this is the perfect time in your life to be single and though I’m sure it doesn’t seem like it now you were actually lucky to have this happen to you.

In my opinion of course… ;)
