I'm having a lot of trouble reconciling myself with the fact that a year has passed since last halloween.

...maybe a lot is an understatement.

You can never move forward if you're only ever looking back. Life isn't like derby. I learnt this year that if I don't let go of the past then I'll trap you in yours. As I've been trapped in mine for nearly 5 years now.

There was never a point where I lamented the loss of anything. I just sometimes wish I could feel the way I did then - that anything was something I could do.
You talk of being trapped. Where's the latch?
