After a while she moved away and I never saw her again. A few years ago I heard that she killed herself. (I’m not sure why.) I think about that a lot. Sometimes I see her in my head. I wonder if the image I have comes even close to how she really looked back when we knew each other.

I'm just wondering why you have the (I’m not sure why.)--if you just don't state a reason for her suicide it's implied
n I think it could be omitted cause it messes up the flow a bit.
