You are excellent, I really hope you continue to post here. Thanks for being so willing to look out for me earlier today. Luckily all went without incident though I still feel a little unsettled.
With the OT, we had God and it sure seemed to be more of a vertical relationship. They all stood in awe of God, and just tried to follow His 'rules' (commandments).
With the NT, we look across at Jesus Christ, and He looks familiar, one of us. The two combine to make up the beauty, awe, and redemptive power that is the Cross.
It really is pretty astounding, the mere idea that God created the entire universe, and yet was still looking for company. Relationship with us. And so He provided a way.
Tony, you've been missed online. I might be joining you guys after church eventually again. In a couple weeks my schedule is changing to where I don't have to get up at 6am on Sunday mornings for work, so......yeah, might be joining you guys again.

a worthy addition! And an oppourtunity to plug an excellent work: You Gotta Keep Dancin': In the Midst of Life's Hurts, You Can Choose Joy! by Tim Hansel.
I would recommend this book to anyone who has, like the Apostle Paul, had to learn to live with a particular affliction.
This is the exception and not the rule - if there is such a thing in the Kindgom and presents a Paradox that most of us are not ready to look into yet. I hope we get to pursue this further.
