Rant Part 2: Matthew and Mary

Obviously I loved and I am very excited to see the Christmas special, but honestly, I'm confused, and I really just feel for Mary.  The shipper part of me wants her with Matthew, but the rational, everyday part of me is screaming that that doesn't exist and it is silly to

Awww...you can't possibly think like that!!! :( I actually see so many women today like that, and it makes me sad. M/M/C is the perfect allegory for those women -- who don't value themselves enough, and end up settling. That they think because some things about a person are OK, it's enough. I just believe no woman should EVER think that way -- EVER. Hold out for what you want -- hold out for who makes you happy. :) Waiting for a Matthew for seven years is infinitely better than settling for a Carlisle right away. :D

(Sorry...I just hate to see women down on themselves, especially in relationships!!! It's so prevalent today...everyone needs to love themselves for who they are, and DEMAND the BEST for themselves. :D That's the key to true happiness, IMO. :)

Awwhhh thank you! I think I needed to hear that! Actually a little bit embarrassing reading over that post now; I sound pretty pathetic. Ahhh blaming it on the alcohol and a looooonnnggggg night!
