Chess is a very interesting game. Played a few rounds both against those in the Knights and the Don in Dahngrest.

All about tactics and strategy... I know some guys who would play for hours.

I see. I'm not sure the game Medivh played was the normal form of chess, either ... he was a very, ah, eccentric person. For him, I imagine part of the thrill would have been in animating all of the figures.

Were you good at it?

I've never played the game, I'm afraid - I've only read about this man's chessboard in his tower.

I'm inclined to believe you. Though it must make one think twice, if the pieces are living. One would be far less willing to take risks.

I don't actually think they were alive per se. Animated, yes ... but not alive. I suppose the difference is mere semantics to some people when one gets down to it, though.
