If you talk to someone only online and about 2x a month is that person your friend?
Does it count or are they just an aquaintance? What do you think?

(This all comes from a "discussion" Matt and I had so please help break the tie.)

So can guy and girls be just friends? Is that beyond belief or completly reasonable?

I would say the person online is your "online friend", who is promoted to "full friend" status when you meet them. Talking to someone only online is exactly like having a Pen Pal: you frequently talk/write, but you can only imagine what they are like in real life. By comparison, meeting someone and then talking online is like calling your friend who goes to a different school.

Can men and women be friends? If there is no possibility of a relationship, of course. If there is even a glimmer of hope, it won't work out. I mean, if your friend was really that awesome, would you want said friend to go out on dates and come to you for "friend" activities?

nope.
(there are always exceptions but thats my general rule, unless I have known that person for a long time and there is a connection.)

Nope.
(one person will always have greater romantic feelings than the other. if person A and B are good friends but B starts to have feelings but they decide no because it would hurt the friendship person B will always feel resentment.) err even in relationships where the others have significant others. we want what we cant have and again there might be exceptions.

oh and i love you.
