I guess every pokemon has a different way of training that works for them. Before Lien-Hua evolved she didn't know many attack moves. So to help her level up I just kept switching her in and out of battle with another pokemon, aru. It was awfully slow, but it worked.
As for Li, sometimes I go swimming with him and I throw these rings into the water, which he brings back to me. I think it helps his eye coordination in some ways, since I throw them in different directions, aru.

Although, I've noticed Li, Ling, and Lien-Hua all like the green tea I make, aru. I would imagine it improves their health, I mean, my people have known about its medicinal benefits since ancient times.
