Relationships for The Doctor

CANON
CharacterDescription

The Master (Not currently in-game) → {♥/♥} Arch-nemesis and best friend all rolled into one. You could say it's complicated. Especially because last time he saw him was when he was burning his body. Yeah. The Master's always up to something and the Doctor's always trying to stop him. It's like a never ending tug-of-war where neither side wants to give in. Despite everything, the Doctor would still like to go back to how things used to be simply because, they're (once again) the last of the Time Lords. Currently, the Master's wrecked his TARDIS (that thief!) so the Doctor's a bit miffed. And now that he's gone, well, that's a bucket load of Time Lord Issues™. One the one hand, the Doctor's alone as the last Timelord (on S.S. Thor). On the other, the Master's somehow figured out a way to leave and who knows what havoc he may be causing?

Martha Jones → {♥} And now I've met Miss Jones. She's one of the few people he trusts, really trusts because she walked the Earth for him and he'll never forget that. It's been hard for him to break out of the Doctor & Companion routine, but as Martha's made her feelings about being treated as more than that clear to him, he's been working on it. He's never really had to deal with her sort of asserting herself prior to their fight (except for that moment she was "getting out"), so it's somewhat hard. He's proud of her though. Ever since the first time they met he knew that she had that potential and it looks like she's growing into it. At a rate faster than he'd expected but you know. A year and then some can change people. In the end, she's one of his closest companions and she's one of the people that can kind keep him level-headed about being on the ship for the time being.

Captain Jack Harkness → {♥} The Captain's been one of the Doctor's trusted companions ever since his previous regeneration and although he did initially leave him (sorry Jack!), it seems like Jack wasn't ready to let him escape as easily as he'd thought. And it was then that the truth came out: he'd left him because Jack was a fixed point in time, a constant, and that just sends the Doctor's Time Lord instincts a wracking. Even now, it's still present as that itch in the back of his mind that Jack is wrong, but he's gotten better at ignoring it as best as he can. The Doctor certainly didn't expect to see Jack on the ship though, so it's a bit of a surprise for him. He's noted that the Captain seems a bit different, but as of yet he hasn't been able to get it out of him. He understands though, the feeling of wanting to run away from something, so he'll give Jack time. And try to keep him away from bedding half the ship too!

Donna Noble (Not currently in-game) → {♥} Good ol' Donna, who is his latest companion, was reunited with the Doctor briefly on the Thor before disappearing again. She's one of the few that's he's come to trust despite all of their verbal jabbing at each other. She can make him laugh and he likes that she's not afraid to let her opinions be known to him. Her compassion and caring are something he loves about her and he wants to help her realize that she is so much more than "just a temp". For the time being, he really is worried about her still. Even her turning up at the S.S. Thor again would be better than him being clueless to her whereabouts. Plus, he misses her.

Rose Tyler (Not currently in-game) → {♥/♥} You know how they say you never forget your first crush? Rose was something like that for the Doctor. It's implied (and then later explicitly stated, thanks RTD) that Rose was one of the companions of New Who that the Doctor had romantic relations with. It's cause she was blonde. Though definitely not the first in the Doctor's long, long years, it's presumed that because of the losses he faced after the Time War, he grew rather fond of her. She was the first real sort of companion he gained after losing his entire planet. Not to say that this makes the feelings any less real, but it's a possible explanation for the surprisingly strong connection that formed. Currently, the Doctor still believes her to be trapped in the Parallel world.

Ianto Jones → {♥} No relation to Martha Jones! One of Jack's Torchwood members, actually, which did initially set off some warning bells for the Doctor. But after a little bit of a heart-to-heart, or as close as the Doctor gets to one, and Ianto explaining more about Torchwood Three to him, the Doctor's warmed up to him. He thinks Ianto seems very despondent, poor guy, so he wants to see if there's anything that can possibly make him less glum.

IN-GAME (in no particular order)

Franziska Von Karma (Not currently in-game) → {♥} She's interesting to him, definitely. She's intelligent and determined, which he likes because it sort of reminds him of what he likes about humans-- all that potential they have. She's also headstrong however, which has led them to butting heads over certain issues. But the Doctor doesn't mind having disagree with him. It's kind of like a breath of fresh air. Even if she is too attached to her whip. He does wish she'd be less insistent on her own ways sometimes, but also realizes that asking her to change that would probably be futile for the time being.

Bruce Wayne/Batman → {♥} IT'S THE GODDAMN BATMAN. Except the Doctor doesn't know that. Not yet. Currently, he has him filed as someone interesting to talk to. He's getting this vibe that there is more to him than just generic old wise man, but isn't prying just yet.

England/Arthur Kirkland → {♥} Oh, hello! It's the country that keeps experiencing horrible disasters (especially around X-Mas time) because of the Doctor. Sort of. Only now he's in anthropomorphic form which is a new one for the Doctor. But he doesn't mind. England is quite a pleasure to talk with (even if he told him that he was actually part of a TV show somewhere. And still not ginger), and the whole "I'm really a country" aspect makes things a lot more interesting. Good chap and a proper English gentlemen except when drunk. He's regarded as a friend by the Doctor. And he'll possibly get a free TARDIS ride one day just to make up for all the disasters the Doctor's brought about.

Yuri Lowell → {♥} DESCRIPTIONHERE

Genkaku → {♥/♥} Hired previously as one of the ones to guard the TARDIS. Something about him seemed a bit iffy to the Doctor, but he thought nothing of it. That is until the Master suddenly stole the TARDIS while it was meant to be guarded by him. Although, he has no solid proof, the Doctor has his suspicions that it was Genkaku.

Riza Hawkeye → {♥} Friend of Jack's, meaning she's heard a bit about him through the Captain. She's a military woman, but realizes the faults of it. The Doctor is glad she seems to be more level-headed and reasonable than the members of UNIT.

Xigbar → {♥} Seems nice. Helped Guard the TARDIS, so the Doctor has him pegged as being someone reliable.

Polly → {♥} DESCRIPTIONHERE

Luke → {♥} Seems like a friendly guy. Helped the Doctor & Martha move the TARDIS once. He seems to feel strange with calling him "The Doctor", so the Doctor's allowed him to call him "John Smith".

Dante → {♥} An alleged Alchemist. She was going to help the Doctor open the TARDIS with her alchemy, but never got the chance. However, thanks to her abilities, the Doctor's interest is piqued.

Ran Yakumo → {♥} Seems friendly and is at least, adamant about making the Doctor learn how to apologize properly. Apparently comes from a world that hasn't changed for quite some time, which he's curious to learn more about. Also talked about being a "Youkai" and serving a master with the ability to control Borders. It's all unfamiliar to the Doctor but that's what makes it all the more interesting.

Hope Estheim → {♥} He's an interesting kid. A little sharp too, or maybe the Doctor's a bit obvious at times. Regardless, he seems to share the belief that something is up about the "Your Planet has been destroyed" business with the Doctor because Hope has some kind of proof that his wasn't.

Vincent Nightray → {♥/♥} Currently known to the Doctor as nothing but a cruel man who he saw publicly abusing Echo over the network without care. Automatic dislike.

Echo → {♥} The victim of Vincent's abuse. He wanted to help her realize that she didn't have to take this, but she's adamant in her belief that servants deserve this from Masters. She also seems to be fretting over some dangerous thing the Doctor only knows as "Noise".
