BACKGROUND: Alice Cullen was born Mary Alice Brandon in Biloxi, Mississippi century. She had a very normal childhood up until her mid-teens when her mutant powers began to develop. Afraid of the mutant powers of premonition their daughter had and the attention she would bring upon her family, her parents had her committed to a mental institution rather than get her the proper education she really needed.
Alice spent a year in the institution before a mysterious mutant whose name she never found out broke her out of the institution - an anti-mutant terrorist by the name of James had found out Alice wasn't clinically insane but rather a mutant and became intent on killing her. To keep her safe and give her a fresh start of anonymity, the mutant erased Alice's memories before she arrived in the institute. With nothing but her powers of clairvoyance to go on, the young teenager ventured out into the world to find a way to live as unobtrusive a life as possible.
About a year later, she had a vision of meeting a blond young man in a diner in Philadelphia, another mutant named Jasper Whitlock. Together, they follow another vision of Alice's to a "family" of mutants, the Cullens. Carlisle and his wife Esme provided a home and a real family for five young mutants - Edward, Emmett, Rosalie, Jasper, and clairvoyant Alice. The "family" often moved from one town to another when suspicions started to be raised about the family's superhuman powers. Still, it was a quiet, mostly normal life that all five of the teenagers craved, especially Alice. During the time she spent with the Cullens, she began to date Jasper.
When Alice turned seventeen, she had a vision of a school specifically for mutants. Unaware that such a school could possibly exist out in the open, she decided to investigate herself. She left Forks, Washington, and headed to New York to enroll herself in the school.
PERSONALITY: Alice has a sincerely cheerful personality, and cares very deeply for the people that come into her life. She is extraordinarily chipper despite the reclusive lifestyle the Cullens live, and ignores other people's advice in favor of her own ideas. She has the ability to endear herself to people almost immediately because of her sweet friendliness. She can become very frustrated when people do things that she wasn't expecting. She also has a fierce protectiveness of her boyfriend and fellow vampire Jasper.
Alice loves throwing parties, as well~
APPEARANCE: Alice is a very tiny girl with extraordinarily beautiful pixie-like features and dark, spiky hair. Her skin is the translucent color of alabaster and almost seems to glow in direct sunlight, and her eyes are a distinctive honey-color except when she has a vision which causes her irises to darken to black. She also has deep purple bruises beneath her eyes, and has the kind of grace that would put a ballerina to shame. It seems that rather than walk, she dances and twirls.
POWERS: Alice is a clairvoyant - she has the ability to see the future, although not very clearly. Her power is entirely subjective and while she has never exactly honed her skills to perfection, if she concentrates hard enough, she can make out a more definitive future. Her powers work best when trying to glimpse the future of other mutants, and becomes more murky when it comes to seeing the future of humans.
Alice usually can't control her visions, the only part of her powers that she finds annoying. Also, playing chess against her is either extremely irritating or extremely amusing.
