He'd promised Dana the winter months in her home, and he'd nearly not been able to deliver on the promise. The winter air had settled sooner than expected, which had led Joe to push to leave earlier so they would be sure to make it. And he'd been right. They'd made it just in time. He had promised. And amazing as he was, he made sure to get them back to her home, even when he realized they'd have to move up the travel time to an earlier date. As cold as the trip had been, Joe had made sure Dana was swathed in thick clothing and blankets and to always stay at her side to warm her further, it made her heart full to bursting with love for this man, more than she thought possible.

Finally, they'd made it. And Dana was near bouncing with excitement. Everything was covered in sparkling white snow and it was just as beautiful as she remembered, any time of the year. Slipping her hand into Joe's, she steps down, attendants and servants already rushing from the castle to help the traveling royal party. "It does my Lord. I can't wait to show you...everything." Grinning, she tips up, catching him in a quick and happy kiss.

He refused to let something like weather stop her from having the happy Holiday that he had promised, and a few days extra seemed like an easy trade to make her happy. He loved it when she smiled, or as the case may be now bounced. And he had made sure they had plenty of blankets and furs to keep them both warm, though his favorite way to keep her warm was to curl around her and keep her against him while they sat under the blanket.

There's a happy sound as he kisses her back, catching her cheek so he can linger in it a little before she pulls away to look around at what might have changed here while she was gone. "I can't wait for you to show me everything. But let us go say hello to your family first? And get you out of this chill, my love."

To be quite honest, Joe was far better than any blankets or furs in her opinion. He warmed her right down to the heart

Well he was certainly to know that. Because he would always be there to wrap around her and be a blanket for her.

His tongue works his lower lip once she's pulled away, continuing to taste her with a happy sound as he smiles down at her. That pink tint to her cheeks is near adorable, almost how she looks flushed after he's pleased her. He moves with her easily up to her family. He smiles at everyone as he watches them. They were all there for the wedding, after all. Though that was the one short day he'd met them. Joe chuckled as her brother lifted her off her feet like that. "Be careful with my wife. She's still cold and needs to be warmed up yet."

"Sammy," Dana's mother chastised, even though she couldn't keep the smile off his face. It was nice to have her daughter home for the holidays, and to see the siblings back together. Dana's father though, merely chuckles as he wraps an arm around his wife and watches the two be reacquainted after being parted.
