Ugh, seriously? I loves me some season one Sam, I do, but you know what I love more than season one Sam? CONSISTANT FUCKING STORYTELLING. CHARACTER DEVELPOMENT. HALF DECENT WRITING.

Also, I am totally looking forward to another recurring male character who likes Dean better than Sam. Gosh, I have missed that happening. Oh wait.

Trying to just shove Sam's S1 self back onto current Sam after (god I have completely lost track of the time jumps, how long ago is it now?) almost a decade is like TRYING TO SHOVE SAM'S S1 WARDROBE BACK ONTO CURRENT SAM. THAT GREYHOUND T-SHIRT. THAT OLIVE BROWN HOODIE. THEY WILL NOT FIT. THEY WILL GET ALL STRETCHY AND SIT ON HIM WRONG.

Reading the spoilers was kind of a relief for me, because it proved once and for all that I have no emotional ties or investment in current canon. It made me roll my eyes at how OOC and lazy the writing is, but honestly, I just don't give a fuck anymore. I'll always love Sam&Dean and I still can't think about certain moments/episodes in the early seasons without tearing up, but the show that's airing right now isn't that show, and those guys aren't Sam&Dean. It's all a horrible badfic AU that's gotten way out of hand, and I'm officially done. THIS IS SELF-PRESERVATION, there's only so much frustration/disappointment I can take x_x

But oh man, I'm lol'ing so hard at the fact that they couldn't even come up with new NAMES for the characters they're introducing this season. Wow, guys, that's just... outstanding.

GOD I WISH I HAD YOUR QUITTING ABILITIES. I know it has been years and years since the show was the show I loved and the Winchesters were the Winchesters I loved, but I can't stop hoping. No matter how officially done I am, I just can't stop ;_;

IT'S OK BB I was in the exact same place from S5~7. I just finally reached my limit, and the episode in S7 where Castiel magically cures Sam of everything was the breaking point. I think a big part of it, too, was that S7 started off SO GOOD. 7x02 is, imo, one of the best episodes of the entire series ("THIS IS REAL" WAHHH). But then they just dropped the ball. Down a ravine. Into a river of lava.

LOL i am still invested in Supernatural and intend to watch and am even a bit excited for whatever they do with Purgatory and all but have been staying vaguely spoiler free for the first time since season 3??? And I plan to watch the presidential debate tonight instead of the spn premiere which will make the first time i've ever voluntarily missed an episode as it aired??? IS THIS WHAT LOSING INTEREST FEELS LIKE I DON'T UNDERSTAND.
