So Teru top was expected. They finally made that announcement. As for the top musumeyaku, do you mean why she always has to be a transfer from another troupe? If this is what you're asking, then here goes my theory. I wonder if having a young musumeyaku leading the troupe she started with bring about a lot of jealousy with the older, more refine musumeyaku within that troupe? It's more often than not that tops are transferred in from other troupe.
Or, lol, the company just didn't find enough stage chemistry between Teru and Urara-chan or whoever was being considered in Soragumi. They did take an awfully long time to announce Teru as top, and I suspect that it has to do with finding the right partner for Teru.
There's also the persistant rumors about how much Teru doesn't like Urara. *sigh* Well, Osa torpedoed poor Asuka that way, and Asuka still made top; Urara getting the latest shinko lead suggests she's still in the running.
As far as jealousy goes, any top, otokoyaku or musumeyaku, gets that. But it is interesting that after a generation of powerhouse top musumeyaku who had otokoyaku-like popularity--Mihoko, Asuka, O-Hana, Gun-chan, Tonami, Dan-chan and and Yuuko were all huge--the company is turning to babies, most of whom are transfers.
Really?! I did not know that...how is it possible for Teru to not like Urara when they barely know each other. Lack of stage chemistry is one thing, but to transfer that over to their off-stage relationship is a bit unnecessary. Rabid fangirls/fanboys at their usual antics again eh?
That was a special generation of musumeyaku wasn't it? Almost like a golden age for musumeyaku where the leading ladies were classy. Perhaps the company is trying to move away from that model with younger, cuter top musumeyaku leads. Heck they're even trying to have younger otokoyaku lead, but this trend is a bit harder to argue until we have more data. I'm not saying I agree with this move or that it's "right" , but it's somewhat similar to what's happening or been happening with the US/any country's entertainment industry. At the end of the day, it's business, and they're all in the entertainment business at that.
Well I'm just saying, Tsukigumi got their new top musumeyaku from Tsukigumi, and Yukigumi's last *two* top musumeyaku have been from Yukigumi. Hoshigumi's current top musumeyaku isn't from Hoshigumi but at least she spent a good amount of time in the troupe before becoming top.
If there was no chemistry between Kaname and Urara-chan, I guess that's valid -- I just wish they'd tried bringing someone in sooner to partner with Kaname so we could at least get used to her too. :\
Who is Urara-chan? I'm really bad at remembering nicknames of the actresses....As for young actresses go...this is almost the same situation with Mimi she is still a young actress most likely many of the older musumeyaku was or is still jealous of her. This will be no different with Rion....so I'm predicting (also praying it wont happen) but many more transfers or retirements of so of the older musumeyaku.
Reimi Urara is a Soragumi 95th who had the shinjin kouen lead in Classico Italiano, was Kaname's main romantic interest in Robert Capa, and will have her second shinko lead in Brilliant Days.
