I always told my Japanese friends if/when they come to America to come find me if they want to look for any brand-name clothing. Along with speaking Japanese, I have always been reaaaally good at finding things on sale. :D Occasionally I'd get comments on my usage of brand clothing, especially Barbie. They were so shocked to find out I paid $5 for most of my Barbie-brand shirts and Roxy clothing in general.
*proud*
