Unemployment Chronicles, Vol 1, Issue 1

Today, and for the last 3 days, it's been too cold for uncovered skin. I almost broke the camera, and froze my fingers off today trying to take pics of The Schmuppy romping in the snow. The risks we take for the sake of art.

*eta LJ doesn't want to display my images. See links below.

I have been making lolcats by the dozen. Made 2 loaves of yummy oatmeal bread yesterday. Thinking about a flourless chocolate cake for this evening. Tomorrow I will have a night out with SuSu, other friends and former coworkers. Hopefully I won't lose any body parts between the parking lot and the building.

On Tuesday I have an interview scheduled for a lab job at the Catholic Hospital. I think I'll skip the tie for that one.

A friend is working on awareness of queer artists in our state, and I'm contemplating a cheerful, crafty project to help things along. In a book of erotic folk art, I recently saw a photo of some aprons, some of which I've actually bought at the second hand store, that are made to look pants-like. Some of them have little cotton dildoes sewn into them. I wasn't aware that they are early 20th century folkart from the midwest US. I think I'll organize a sewing party.
