so Earth Day is right around the corner (April 22nd!) and here are some interesting and quite scary facts that I have found  (pulled out of Glamour, yes, but all the research and scientists are listed. This stuff is real and legit:

  • 10 times as much energy is wasted when you run a computer screen saver instead of using sleep mode.

Dude, in Singapore, all the outlets have on/off switches. Yes, the OUTLETS. Why don't we have em?

dude, Asia is light years ahead of us on energy conservation. The Japanese run circles around us with water.

Singapore even taxes people for driving a certain distance to lessen car use. I don't think we could get away with that though....hahaha

'Organic' items may not actually be organic. There is no official agency checking every product. Or their labels. They can say practically whatever they want. Same goes for anything 'natural'.

Dood, that is not true. USDA governs the word organic. And before the label is used they have to go through an inspection process. I know in KY if something is inspected and the don't have proper paperwork, then they get a cease and disceasist (sp I can't spell today)

Natural, that can say with they want. but USDA own the O word now.
