I had one of my most trusted soldiers look into her, but unfortunately, the Librarian appears to be a very paranoid woman. She has created several aliases for herself within Zeltennia, Lionel, and Limberry alone, and none of them were traceable back to her. It would appear that she is on the move, but I am reasonably confident she is keeping her travels to inside Ivalice. She may consider border-crossings too dangerous.

As I suspected. Thank you, though. Her interest in Ordalia concerns me. Granted these books are not dangerous, but they can be advantageous if used correctly. If the Ordalian forces come into possession of them, it would be much like having a Judge in each town.

Thus far they do not attempt to puppet my rule, but these books could change that.

Have you received an invitation to the masque, Daricus? This may seem an odd request, but I would appreciate your coming.

Agreed. This woman's scientific curiosity could spell very bad things for Ivalice.

As the two of us have proven, if the books continue to make their way eastward...then there is every chance that even the emperor himself could wind up with a book. And I fear that would greatly stimulate his interest in Ivalice.

(Somewhat longer pause)

Ordalia is already heightening their interest in Ivalice's territory. As a sovereign state, the Empire will use us to their best advantage, magic books included.

It is for that reason I would ask you attend the masque. I wish to speak to you. The masque will provide a blanket excuse. Should I have invited you out of the blue, the Ordalian spies in my court would take note.
