Why is it that when men (or women who are not good communicators) do not want to tell someone they made a choice that will hurt their feelings their solution is to evade questions about that choice? If you are going to tell someone something that you feel will have a negative impact, the correct course of action is NOT to just not tell them because

It helps, believe me it helps. Thank you so much Brad. Just acknowledging that my feelings are real is all I wanted from this friend of mine. He is choosing total avoidance and one word answers, the last of which was a text reading "Sorry." If that were enough, I wouldn't be upset. I got all the raw emotion out of my system last night and today I am just sad. Things are not resolved, but I just don't know what to say.
