Kurt reached the station a few minutes before their planned meeting time, dressed for a casual Saturday's shopping (and yet still, somehow, looking as though he'd just stepped off a high fashion catwalk.) He saw Wes almost at once, and he hurried across the concourse to meet his friend. Waving when he caught Wes' eye, he slowed to a stop in front of the other young man.
"Hey," he greeted, suddenly feeling a little self-conscious. Taking Wes shopping had seemed a great idea at the time, and he does always love shopping, but he was just beginning to realise how little he knew of the other man. He called him friend, but really... he was more Blaine's friend, Sierra's boyfriend. Kurt hadn't spent long enough at Dalton to really get to know Wes.
Wes smiled, glad to meet Kurt. The one good thing about him was that he was always punctual. Giving Kurt a wave, Wes suddenly felt a little self-conscious as well. Did they hug? Should he shake Kurt's hand? Or should he do nothing? His head tilted to the side and he bit his lip. He had wanted to spend time with Kurt. It as his suggestion. Why did he feel so nervous?
"I did. The train was on time and everything. Who would have thought?" Wes looked around, taking in his surroundings before turning back to Kurt. The station was always a great place for people watching. Today, though, he didn't have the time. He had plans with Kurt. There was an agenda. Yes, he had planned the day out. He was like that.
He sighed, looking Kurt up and down. He doubted he could ever pull off the type of look that Kurt wore. And still, he had no problem putting himself in Kurt's hands. "Shall we go? I don't know much about shopping. I put myself in your hands."
"You've come to the right person," Kurt told Wes as they began to walk, happy to be confident in his abilities when it came to fashion. ,
"I won't let you leave until you're looking the perfectly dashing gentleman that you are. Not, you know, that I don't think you're gentlemanly already." Kurt was at pains not to offend his companion; they didn't know each other well enough for him to tease.
"There's nobody else I would rather go to." He smiled wider as they stepped out of the station. He loved coming into the city. Being with Kurt was just an added bonus. "And we can get some lunch or something. I want to get a really nice suit. I'm thinking I'll wear it when I propose. If... If I propose."
Wes knew that they didn't know each other that well, but he didn't have any qualms about teasing Kurt. He wanted to get to know his friend better. "I may be gentlemanly, but I can still use a lesson or two from the best."
