[ xii ] † Inquiry

Feb 14, 2008 09:42

Requesting a comprehensive list of expected celebratory events to be taking place within the compound for future reference. Additionally, anticipated behaviour assigned to each explanation.

[OOC: In plain-speak, Warden can't make heads or tails of what the hell is happening with the residents, so he's confused. LOL!]

strange behaviour, residents, request, valentine's day

A kind of pastry. With filling! It's rather sweet. Maybe you should have some so you can lighten up or somethin'.

Oh c'mon, the almighty Warden, knowing nothing about Valentine's Day?

I know what pie is. I also know it has nothing to do with brevity.

As I said, the parameters by which I searched for information did not return results matching the behavior exhibited by the residents at this time.

After submitting an inquiry to the Indigeo regarding past traditions associated with this perceived holiday, I remain at a loss to explain the translation to the current behaviour of the residents.

It seems someone baked pies wherein after consumption of said pies they experience grande splendor and love. With all the magic running around lately are you suprised?

On the other hand:
You're suppose to give your heart to someone, I hear.
Would you like one~?

(( ... could not be helped.. ))

Ah. Thank you, that assists the explanation.

I do not require such an item.

Well. You've seen Christmas - all the gift giving before - already. And this is Valentine's, when people give choco or gifts to someone ( ... )

I have no opinion on the number of days required to celebrate these holidays.

Your list is duly noted.

There were once such celebrations, but this world no longer does so.

Even when there's nothing to celebrate, it's human nature to want to do it. Is there a reason those celebrations stopped?

They're all commercial holidays invented by food companies in corporate America based on more wholesome often religious based holidays.

People just make too big of deal on em.

Oh well, rejoice and receive candy and free food.
cept here, where it's all free, so damn.

And yet with no consumerism here, the behaviour continues?

I've heard it said that "Old habits die hard."

Well, considering that today is Valentine's Day, a complete list of expected "celebratory" events that take place today may be the last thing you want~

But that being said, I expect to go visit Kaoru later and have a private celebration of the holiday with him. Anticipated behavior is...well, you know~ wait, do you?

I see.

Your implication is clear.
