Man requests free MP3s in order to make thoughtful yet inexpensive present.

Hello, if you'll permit me to use the term, although it would be a bit weird if you didn't, wouldn't it, I mean I'm only saying "hello", I'm not asking you to take your top off or anything, no, that comes later. Anyway the point is, it's Mumward's birthday this weekend, and as part of her present I'm lovingly wasting time at work recreating an ( Read more... )

Do you have a PC or a Mac? If the former, try cr3ation b3ta for free downloadable MP3s (although they're probably illegal, and I've warned you about that, so don't go whining to me when the internet rozzers come beating at your door. If you've got a Mac, I just can't help you. And I don't mean the MP3s, either.

That's very helpful, possibly. When everyone ignores this I might give it a go, although my preferred method is still people giving me things without my having to make any effort at all.

I've got a Mac, and I'm bleeding to death here. Your refusal to help is inhuman. I can feel life ebbing away. You're so cold. Please reconsider... Can I just ask you if I can

Might have some of these; and I can grab a few of the others off the audiowall in the studio. Give me a few hours and I'll fire them off to you.

Marvellous, this is working out very well. If only you'd done the sleeve for me as well, I spent ages yesterday on that because you couldn't bloody well be bothered.

I've got Kris Kristofferson, Billy Swann, Albert Hammond, The Byrds, Scott MacKenzie, Mamas & Papas and Randy Edelman. Do you want them one at a time via email, or is there some other way of sending them in bulk that won't take about three years?

Ooh, hooray for you, I thought you might have some. One at a time is fine, I suppose the alternative is a zip file, but I want to come across as someone who doesn't know how those work.

Man, you've got loads of this stuff, I only had 2 songs from the original album - Everybody's Talkin' and Year of the Cat, I bet you've got both of those as well.

I haven'y got any of those tracks, but if I did, I'd gladly send them to you in whatever MP3 is in the post. Why not make it easy on yourself and just give them a copy of 'Hot Five Hot Seven'?

Oh. And...

"You Can ring my Bowel"

I thought perhaps the Cheeky Girls could re-record The Cheeky Song so that it went "Come and smile, don't be shy/Touch my bowel, this is life", but then thought they might consider it undignified.

You have incoming Arlo.

I saw him a couple of weeks ago, and he was adorable.

Hoorah, thank you v. much. Now let me guess this right, I don't burn this one onto the CD straightaway, do I, I wait until I've got all of them in something called a playlist.

I'd just burn each song 10 times onto its own CD. But then I can never find the 'repeat' button, either.
