first off, my dad is having open heart surgery tomorrow. he needs to have one of his valves replaced. he's at one of the best hospitals in the country for that (cleveland clinic), and he really likes his surgeons. apparently, the head surgeon he's working with does something like 70 heart transplants a year, so he's in good hands. regardless, he's ( Read more... )

makes me scared for mine, since my dentist has been plaguing me with periodontist gum-disease horror stories.. :-P

coming to see you in january for your birthday looks more likely now since i wont be working this winter, but we shall see and i will let you know for sure if/when things definitely will or wont work out.

thanks love. i know it'll be ok, and he'll be much better off after this, but the thought of someone cutting open my dad's chest to toy with his vitals doesn't really sit right with me, y'know? lol ( ... )

Don't beat yourself up about classes. You have had *a lot* going on in your life lately. Instead of being disappointed with yourself, think "Wow, I've gotten through a lot of bullshit lately, and I am smart, strong and wise enough when to know to take a break and breathe."

i'm trying not to, but it's a little difficult. when i was trying to get into school, i had very little help because people thought that i was going to screw up and blow $8,000 in the process of screwing up. i mean, everything that happened throughout this semester was out of my hands, yeah, and it's not like i just fucked off, but i still feel as though i proved those people right. i'm trying not to think like that, but like i said, it's kind of hard not to at times. i'm a pessimist at heart. heh.
