ok, sporadic update

so, last entry, i was leaving for canada in a few days.
first off, i have to say that the last time i was in canada, i was 17 and it was only for about 3 hours total. that was the only time i've ever been out of the country. erm, go me, i guess. when i came back from canada last time, it was honestly a life-altering exprience, and i moved out of my parents' house, seemingly ready to take life by the balls. little did i know at that point that life does not have balls, just one big, humongous asshole that seemed to have it out for me. but let's not talk about that. the point of what i'm saying here is that, for me, canada comes to me with change. it was no different this time.

staci and i got on the highway at about 8:30am, very excited about our road trip. i made lots of fun mixes for the drive, yet we started it out with "bossanova" by the pixies. good way to start an early morning road trip, if you ask me. so we bounce along down the highway, taking route 8 to 271 to 90. we made it to 90 in 40 minutes, as staci is a speed demon. the rest of the drive continued on that way.

we got to the border near buffalo, NY around noonish or something to that effect, and of course we stopped at duty free to grab a bottle of vodka, super excited that within mere minutes, we'd be in tha fabulous country of canadia. we crossed the border and bounced some more. it was a good drive.

at about 2 something, we got into toronto and drove around for about half an hour looking for our hotel. finally, we found it, parked, and checked in. we went to the room, plopped our stuff down, and went to the hotel bar to grab a drink. of course, becajuse we just could, and because after something like 6 hours of driving, you need a drink. don't argue that...it's true. after we had our drink, we set out with full wallets and dreams of shopping to come. and it came, oh, it came.

first, we wandered down to queen st. w., where were were told there was some good shopping. we stopped in a couple of stores, then came across something called "the friendly stranger." this shop was quite obviously a head shop, so we went in, as i needed a new chillum for smoking while at the rents' place (my bong and large bowl would be a bit too obvious). we walked in, and i swear...imagine a high-class clothing boutique. then turn said boutique into a head shop. that's the friendly stranger. it was AWESOME. i bought a piece that was just perfect for me for a good price, and talked to a woman who worked there while she rung me up. this woman has got to be one of the most beautiful people i've ever seen in my life. she looked to be either a very light skinned black woman, or of mixed backgrounds, and she had these gorgeous dreadlocks pulled back in a pretty bandana, big brown eyes framed with funky thick rimmed glasses, and the most open, gracious smile i'd ever seen. seriously GORGEOUS here. anyway, she said she really loved the piece i bought, and staci and i have this habit of naming out canadian pieces "something the something canadian" (i.e. staci's piece, steve the angry canadian), so i really wanted to name mine "[name of girl here] the dreadlocked canadian", but alas. i didn't learn the beautiful girl's name. so everyone...think of the most gorgeous girl you've ever seen, and tell me her name. anyway, moving on...

after that, we stopped at the condom shack (i swear that was the name of the store), which was basically a condom shop with some sex toys. hooray for that. they even had maple flavoured condoms!!! they were singles, though, and very expensive. wish i would have bought some now though. oh well. we stopped at some clothing stores after that, most of which were overpriced and very expensive, so we didn't buy anyting. but we went into this one store, and i found something i had to have.

THE STORY OF KATE'S SEXY NEW PANTS
i was browsing the racks at this one store, noise, and suddenly i spied something. and that something was good. imagine the brightest, truest red lipstick you've ever seen (barrelofmofos, think of the russian red i swapped you) and slap that colour on a pair of low rise, hip hugging corduroys. of course i had to try them on! but the price tag...ooh man. $50, out of $200 i had left over with a MAC pro store 2 minutes away. not good. but i had to try them on. so i did, and i came out of the dressing room and said, "hey staci, do these look like $50 worth of good?" she said to me, "turn around", which i did, and she said, "YES." i was still debating it, when this ADORABLE canadian girl turns to me and says, "can i see your bum?" my brain exploded with cuteness, and of course i showed he my bum. she gave me the go, but i was still wary of the price tag. then the adorable canadian turned to me and said, "can i see your bum again?" yet again my brain exploded with cuteness, and i showed her my bum. it was a that point i decided that i needed those pants, because anything that makes a cute canadian girl want to look at my bum more than once is worth having. and that is the story of kate's sexy new pants.

after that, i hit up the MAC pro store and got a few things i'd been wanting for a while. probably nothing too exciting for all of you, so i won't go into the entire haul, but i will say that i got day-glo green eyeliner! WOOOOOOO! hehehe.

oh dammit. i have to go get a shower and my fingers are tired. rest of canadia trip will come later, i promise!!!
