I love how he sounds so...flat in every language. Since it's so widespread and includes Japanese, I have to conclude that it was intentional...

Yeah, definitely makes him seem oblivious and not entirely grasping of emotion instead of malicious, which is why we love him. I do think he was originally written as more "evil", judging by those production sketches, the first teaser, and the early rumors you've mentioned. Concepts for movies have changed even after it goes into production from what I've seen, though I'm glad he ended up as he did and not as a stock evil-just-because Disney-esche villain ( ... )

Oh, I think Jiri knows he comes across as pretentious. I think he TRIES to come across as pretentious. But I don't think he realizes he comes off as such a massive asshole.

Yeah, Aspies are *generally* honest and upfront, but we can be deceptive if we really want to be. For some reason there's a lot of people who think we're incapable of lying or some such shit. Although I'll admit, there's a lot that can be done when you're *technically* telling the truth...

Yes, indeed we can. Granted it can really hard for me to be convincing about it, though that might be related to to guilt more than anything else. Morals I have, indeed.

Anyway, for some reason I have this image of Jiri being passive-aggressive at times to, though that's probably just my brain going to far when registering him as Anthy during my weird-ass Utena crossover fangirling moments.

Yay, moar foreign Jiris! His Greek voice is my personal favorite that I've heard, though his Dutch one is unfathomably adorable IMHO.
