So.. I just watched the latest installment of the Pacific (LATE, RIGHT?), and I have just now discovered my overwhelming love for Sidney Phillips.

I don't know.  It just hit me like a ton of bricks.  Just <3333 forever.  There are not enough hearts to express my adoration for that boy.  And also, I realized that I'm already majorly shipping Sledge

I totally love Sidney too and want more Sledge as well. I was pretty meh about the whole episode, my father even turned to me and was like "Isn't this show supposed to be about war?" I replied "Yes", he then said "then why are they fornicating?" LOL XD

I'm totally a Leckie shipper, because he reminds me of Webster in a way. I'm happy the chick broke it off with him. He'll meet a nice boy sooner or later. LOL. :) (Can you tell I'm hooked on Slash?)

OMG. Like, I'm all for het or homo, but those scenes--the entire episode, about--was just uncalled for.

...But I won't lie--I don't like too much het in my milluhtariez. :(

But yes--Phillips was totally adorable ♥

First off, I totally agree about Sid - he's been my MOST FAVORITE from the very first episode, and I adooooore him. I also adore Sledge and I can't wait for things to focus on him. I honestly don't like Leckie very much, so I'm having a hard time engaging with the series right now. I like Basilone a lot but he still gets less face time than Leckie

I had sort of figured that my little rant might have come off
that way when I posted it, but I decided to let it
slide.

I'm not really opposed to female characters in fandom, most of my
favorite characters are female and my favorite pairing of all time is actually a heterosexual one in Harry Potter. What I was trying to get across, and
kind of failed in this rant, is that I was pretty
much covinced that the girls (which so far have pretty much just been the romantic interests of the boys) wouldn't be handled well in the series. I was fearful that try wouldn't do a good job with the addition of girls, and I kind of feel like they have done a rather poor job.

I can see why it came off that way and I apologize. Though I generally am
not a fan of hetero relationships in fandom, I
obviously realize that girls can be strong and interesting characters.
I suppose I ought to reword my rant.

I feel so sad because I think I'm like the only person who doesn't really slash Sid/Sledge...BUT YES, since Sledge was gone Hoosier and Chuckler totally saved the episode. Leckie's romance was kinda...eh.
