The 24hr was great fun, well done to the GMs.
The first day went well for Napier. He wasn't fast enough to win the scouting competition but he found and the ducks he needed to collect which was better than several of the other lighter scoutier contestants.
The Wardens competition went well too. Napier completed the course in a good time with a good score so once again he didn't win but came close enough to feel roud of the achievement.
The main contests were a mixed bag, most were entertaining while others were over too quickly but you'll always have that problem when low ranked characters can be drawn against very high rank ones.
Napier got his wish to fight Arris in one of his bouts and won comfortably and was then drawn against Monty in the second round. The bout was very close fought with Monty finally triumphing by using through strikes to take out one of Napiers legs. We'll have to fight again next year and maybe it will be a different story.
I really enjoyed both the fights and the roleplay in between them. It was nice that Napier got to fight 2 people who he likes and respects in a spirit of friendly competition.
I would have hated to have been 'lucky' and get drawn against a series of low ranked characters and crushed their dreams of greatness before meeting a high ranked character like Nab in the finals and being crushed in turn.

I played Karl for the last couple of hours of the the first day and the linear on the second. It was nice to roleplay with Harlequin and Ivan again and Karl managed to meet some of the mid and high level characters which may prove helpful in the future.
The linear for the second day was a little disappointing. we did a lot of walking about looking for encounters and getting lost on an unfamiliar site and the whole thing was almost rained off about half way through.
Overall though, the event was a lot of fun congratulations to the GMs on coming up with new games for the tournament and staying on top of such a large event so well and thanks again to Matt for the ride home.
