My grandma is always talking about how Duluth is becoming such a "bad area"- whatever she means.
That place will always have my heart, though. Even if it is becoming "bad."

I bet Mayo will solve your problems. I think my cousin spent a lot of time her for her CF while she still lived in Duluth (she's in Chicago now).

she probably means that duluth has a high population of low income people which affects the crime ect. ect. - there are only parts of it that are "bad". when spring comes duluth always has my heart too.

Well. I love my Grandma to death but she has lived in that house since she was born and her view of the world hasn't changed much since 1940...sooo...she remembers the Duluth that she raised my dad in...where, apparently, little kids could go to the corner store and buy their parent's cigarettes for a nickle.

Seattle customers azire February 11 2009, 18:38:05 UTC
I haven't gone into a B & N here in Seattle yet ... But I can only imagine the characters that show up.

Amanda and I have been amusing ourselves out of our Charles Street window, trying to figure out who's shopping for drugs and prostitutes. Now that things are warming up (from a frigid 30 degrees to 50, poor Seattle-ites), we're seeing our regulars again.

On another note, Amy --- good luck at Mayo. Don't let them push you around! :)
