Been teaching for four years now. Got a (long-distance) girlfriend. Bought a house (and am moving in February). Fighting chronic and unidentifiable health problems. Writing a comic. Watching way too much TV.
oh oh! I teach now, too! as a student, but still. were your friends as surprised at first that they let you teach as mine are? how long have you been dating? has she been invited to live at (teal furniture) house? and :( regarding health problems. what's your comic about? is it online? I have a comic workshop that I quite detest, because I am so not a comic person. actually, none of the people in the class are comic people. we had one girl who liked that stuff and she left, so I think they should cancel the whole class. but no one listens to me, especially since the person who teaches it is very famous in that field. and most importantly: what are you watching these days?
My friends are still surprised that they let me teach.
Um, we have been flirting and talking for awhile, but August. And I have a firm commitment to living alone forever, which probably will cause problems later down the road. But yeah.
My comic is about two middle-aged closet cases on a road trip across dimensions in search of one's missing daughter, who may or may not have ever existed. Also there are giant bugs. I'm writing it, not drawing it. Unfortunate about the comic class; I'd kill to take a comic class.
Telly-wise: My biggest obsession at the moment is Breaking Bad, but I am now out of episodes. Having watched all of them at least twice. Other runners up: Treme, Babylon 5 (never seen it before, currently watching and posting about it), Game of Thrones, the Borgias, Community, Fringe, Doctor Who, BBC Sherlock, and Leverage. I download all my telly so I never know what's on and what's on hiatus at any given time.
your tv sounds exactly like my list of things I haven't gotten to yet. other than DW and some leverage episodes that I get to watch because the boyfriend likes it.
your comic sounds fun. I'd love to see it. maybe mine will be fun when I get to make up stories, because that's the part that I like. the illustration is... tedious. I understand why it's important, but my 15-course load has a side effect of zero tolerance for annoying assignments, as most of them seem to be, so far.
I finished my MA, had a job as a project co-ordinator on a grant project for a year, but when that ended I found job hunting a disaster thanks to the recession. through volunteering at the American Museum in Bath now have an awesome job as a collections assistant working with a delightfully crazy bunch. TV wise am obsessed with Nurse Jackie, Californication, The Killing, Borgen and Mad Men (when it returns). Yup. Life is pretty great right now.

December 2009, I left home and moved out to the country to live with my fiancee.
February 2010, lucked into an awesome job, met a bunch of amazing people.
November 2011, fiancee dumped me, but some of the previously mentioned amazing people are helping me through it.
