Kerry makes concession call to Bush

Nov 03, 2004 11:27

It's over.

I can't believe this happened again.

I am so disappointed.

I even prayed to god to let him win. I said, "Jesus, if you really exist, if there is any good left in the world, any hope left for peace, then Kerry will be our president."

The antichrist will now bring on the apocolypse.

Good god, isn't there something we can do!?!

Whoa whoa whoa, Jen, I think you're overstepping your bounds a little bit here. The question was not which cantidate we LIKED more, but which one we thought would better serve the country. I think many people take politics much too seriously than they should, for it is important, but not a way of life; at least not to us laypeople. I understand some of your critiques of Bush, but I would be interested to know why you jump so ahead of yourself as to be incredibly damning to his character. And, as a side note, Kerry had no promise that could lead us out of the war in Iraq. Whoever gets in, I still have to face the reality of a draft as this will probably go on for a little while too long, as it already has.

whoa whoa whoa, Adam. I was really angry and disapointed when I wrote that, but I don't regret it. And the reason I LIKED Kerry was because I did believe he could lead the country better than Bush. I feel that Bush has brought alot of hate to America, dividing it more than uniting it. And I am/was serious about it because it was a serious election, with both candidates being on opposing view points on almost everything. And I knew Kerry wouldn't be able to get us out of Iraq immediately, but he could've changed the direction of where it is headed so to speak. Anyways, I'm trying to move on and I'm really sick of debating with people.
