Bad news: I broke my only PS2 controller! The right thumbstick is all busted, which is the one you use to aim in my game where you shoot people. This is a bad thing. It did have the good manners to wait until 'after' I'd finished story mode, though

Congratulations on once again surviving an entire year! Hopefully your PS2 purchases shall include a new controller, and also Shadow of the Colossus. Watch the trailer on the linked site to understand why it is to be hoped that you acquire this game. Also, watch out for falling chunks of ennui. They bruise.

You're preaching to the choir, my good man! I've been jonesing for that game from the instant it came out. I even put it on my gift-wish-list. Which means I now own it! And as of last night, I've beaten seven of the colossi. I really liked the flying one, once I figured out how to get the stupid thing to come after me. I spent half an hour swimming around trying to find a ladder, then got pissed off and shot about ten arrows at the thing. Then it got angry, came at me, and I had one of those 'No, that CAN'T be what I need to do!' moments. Very good game.
