I am sure you can somehow live without a phone for a time, I was able to live phone-less for months. However, just recently, I have realized that there are some people who have become too dependent with these gadgets. In fact, I once lost article assignments because I do not have a cellular phone. Though, I found it too absurd because the many times I did freelance writing stuff, I can either get assignments via email, landline phone, YM or Googla Talk. ;)
