I am also an extremely tired nerd. I haven't stayed up until 3 AM in a long time, but I was up that late last night. For those who might not be aware, yesterday night was the launch of Windows Vista and I joined about a hundred other people at a Best Buy launch party. Good thing for you that there are women out there who find white and nerdy sexy, huh? ;)

Also, just in case you're feeling too much like the ubernerd... my roommate got ahold of the pre-release version of Vista 2+ months ago, so I've been able to tool around in it some. The 3D flipbook windows are indeed purty, as are the frosted glass-looking window borders.

Umm so what is the point of getting Vista anyway? Where you desperate for a shiny new interface. Honestly I haven't studied so I might be missing something.

Well, I'm hoping for better compatibility with SATA drives, as well as better security and most of all better implementation of UPnP for my router and media sharing for my X-Box...

But to be honest, I mostly wanted a shiny new interface.
