Long time

So I made up my mind over the course of the last few days to come back to LJ and see what was going on. It had been so long that I had forgotten my password. What's worse, I had LJ notifications sent to my hotmail account. It had been so long since I opened up that account that Microsoft had deleted it. So it's seriously been a long time. Welcome back. :) Good luck with business school. It's nice that you found your calling fairly early, before you racked up major tuition debt.

That UCLA kid probably didn't deserve to be tased based upon what I saw, but who knows if there were extenuating circumstances. His nationality had absolutely nothing to do with him being tased. Based upon the YouTube video, it looked like a bunch of rent-a-cops on a powertrip. There was no racial issue involved.

Thanks! Actually, I'm still in law school as well, but I'm happy to be getting both degrees even if I don't practice. I'll still end up taking the bar and everything. How's your first post-law school job going?

I'm glad to hear it was powertripping rent-a-cops and not nationality.

Although I still think it's a good plan. I should probably make this post private so President Ahasmazzhmaiande doesn't actually use it. And yes, you're correct in thinking that I was too lazy to Google his name. And yes, I just typed an 'A' followed by a string of random letters..

Sounds like you've got a lot on your plate. Which bar exam(s) do you plan on taking?

My job is going well so far, but I've only been with it for a week. :) I took an extended vacation after the bar exam.

I'm not sure about the bar. I originally thought I was coming back to Florida if I was going to practice law, since I can be a little pickier about geography if I had practiced law. But since I want to go the marketing route, I may just take the bar in whatever state I end up living after school.

Nice call on the extended vacation. I'm sure that was three years in the making.

Actually, things are going well. Despite a pretty crushing semester and more work than I should be doing, life is good. I think it got a lot better when I realized I no longer wanted to be a lawyer.

I'll have to do some catching up to see how you've been. I'm sure you've been as mischievous as ever. :)

I look forward to seeing you around more, but I know school is priority #1.

Hi Brody! Glad to see you back on here, even if it is only for a brief stint. Did I inspire you to come back? :-P

It's good to hear that you've figured out what you want to do. At least doing a dual degree program has benefitted in that you at least really want to do one of them! :-P Although it might be good for you in the long run to also have that law degree. You'll never know when you need it. Plus, if I need a lawyer, maybe you'll give me a discount. ;-)

That's cool to hear about your work in Mexico. What inspired you to do it? I'd enjoy hearing more, when you get the time.

In the meantime, study hard for your exams, mister! It'll pay off, I'm sure. Only a year and a half left. WHO-HOO! Graduating is AWESOME, I can tell you that much (although, despite the fact I was in statistics, SASsy thing that I am, I think your work is MUCH harder, so it'll be even better).

Anyhoo, take care, friend. I should respond to your other comment to me. :)

You might have been part of the reason. :) But let's not get to hasty on the discount idea - at least until I pay off my loans.

As for Mexico, I wanted to go on a trip for the school. This one happened to be cheap and serve a greater good. Some of the other trips were expensive and were more geared towards touring foreign facilities. It would have been cool, but this was much more hands-on. It's sad to see all the violence that took place in that area. I grew quite fond of it.

Are you still Excelling in your chosen field? I hope you aren't being to SASsy about it.

Its good to have you back.

As for your idea about Iran sending people over here as students and having them start to fit into soceity and gain credibility and create small ruckuses, it sounds like a possibility and you're thinking ahead and possibly onto something. Those Sept 11th highjackers lived among us and most people probably just thought they were normal people. I don't know how much they know of us or if they're aware of how politically correct you have to be here. So do you think they're or they would be sending in these college students or professionals to be parts of terror cells but just do a better job of blending in? Unless they were having them here as parts of terror cells, I don't know if they'd want to just pay the money to send people here to be students or professionals, cause one ruckus like that student at UCLA and that's it. I'd think they'd want them to be part of a bigger purpose like spying on us or something.
