NOTE: Regarding the housechurch movement, I am a supporter of them. Apparently, there are different house church movements just like there are different denominations. Ya, I agree. Sin is not a result of the church. It is a result of the fall. And I guess my point was not intended to blame the church although that is how it came across, much appologises. Coming back to your comment about salt and light, I find that much of the fruit that we are reaping is from our own passivity, denial, self righteousness, and judgement on the sinners. Instead of going into the highways and byways we stepped over the hurt to get to the church first. Alot of homosexuals are angry at God because of the way we express God to them. Needless to say there WILL always be people who hear the word of the Lord and be offended but more often than not it is us who are offended and walk away rather than reach out. It is my fear that hearts will harden and we build a huge chasm between them and us. As a pastor, you probably have a tough time identifying becasue you are going into the highways and byways, I applaude you. But do you get a sense of where I am coming from? That we are partially to blame? HUGS!
