Actual episodes thoughts
- The reaction to Ichigo's strawberry tart was silly and over the top, but given this is Yumi-Pat I wouldn't expect anything less.
-I loved the scenes with Mari and Miya. I'm glad that the girls who were formerly rivals (in cooking or love) can now be friends. Miya wanting a fancy name for Ichigo's tart was particularly hiralous. (Vanilla's name was also cheesy).
-Tossing in the air scene ftw.
-I will call Henri-Sensei Willy Wonka from now on. No power on Earth is strong enough to stop me.
-Wait. Why did he have to break Mari's heart to test Ichigo? That seems even more dickish.
-Find it creepy that he was planning on being her mentor form the very start with the picture and everything. On the other hand, gotta love the post-war period braids Ichigo's grandmother is rocking.
-Kind of sad that the next series isn't going to be about Team Ichigo's adventures in Paris, but I guess they figured that they spend enough time in a foreign country or something.
Professional Spoilers
- Kashino got tall? Just like Edward Elric.
- I'm not digging Mari's new haircut. I liked her with long hair and no makeup, but than again I have a feeling everyone is going to have new looks
- No sign of Hanabasa and Andou in trailer (some random guy crushing on Ichigo though). I'm assuming they're still going to be there though, since the little exchange at the end.
- oh and:
Kashino/Ichigo is canon now! Though it looks like Chocolate/Kashino and Sweets/Ichigo still take precedence. As it should be.
All and all a really good episode. Even though I expected someone to break into "Don't stop believing!" during the scene where Ichigo faced off against Francois lol. I hope that the next season is half as good. Still holding off on the manga until the next season is over or an English release comes out.
